Northwood’s SW-138EDS meets the challenging needs of the contemporary stone fabricator. The machine's large work envelope (156" x 96" x 14") easily allows the operator to process an entire slab. With the current trend in the natural stone countertop industry being larger parts (islands and peninsulas) and fewer seams, it made sense to design a machine tool that permits machining an entire granite slab when needed. This machine has the capability to produce the largest part that granite slab can yield. The large table also makes it possible to set up multiple parts; and Northwood’s industry exclusive StoneVision™ software automatically optimizes toolpaths to minimize the number of tool changes needed. The machine's 32-tool position automatic tool changer easily handles four complete profiles with additional space for finger bits, drills, etc.*

SW-158EDS

Northwood’s SW-158EDS (Gen4) was designed from the ground up for the discriminating stone fabricator who wants the very best. With a massive work envelope of 180" x 96" x 14" and the highest quality machine components in the industry, this stone machining center will exceed your expectations. Northwood originally designed the NW-138EDS to accommodate an entire slab, but created this larger version to enable fabricators to machine several parts in each set-up. Northwood’s industry exclusive StoneVision™ software automatically optimizes toolpaths to minimize the number of tool changes needed and provides more efficient set up by having more parts on the table. Like the NW-138, the NW-158 has 32 tool holders.*

SW-126EDS

Northwood’s SW-126EDS brings the exceptional performance of the popular SW-138EDS to a slightly smaller package without sacrificing machining efficiencies and productivity. It shares the same rigid-frame component machine tool design as the NW-138EDS in a machine with a slightly smaller footprint which will fit through a ten-foot doorway. The machine's large work envelope (144" x 72" x 14") is sufficient for natural stone and especially useful in the engineered stone market segment. The machine's 24-tool position automatic tool changer easily handles three complete profiles.*
